Angela joined the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama in 1994 and has a wealth of broad-based experience. She has worked in every aspect of the non-profit organization from recruitment, community planning to workforce development and strategic planning. As manager of the EDPA Foundation’s work, Angela is equally passionate about strategies to build support systems for entrepreneurship in the state. She helped spearhead the formation and launch of Alabama Launchpad. Angela and her EDPA Foundation team, in partnership with Alabama’s research institutions, have raised millions of dollars in planning and technical assistance grants to help communities diversify their economic base.
A Birmingham native, Angela earned a bachelor’s degree in music from Davidson College in North Carolina. She received a master’s degree in Information Science from the University of Alabama, and a MBA from Erasmus University in the Netherlands. When the weather is nice, you will find this world traveler and her two spoiled rescue pups tinkering in her garden, planting vegetables and flowers at her Springville home.
